Hi all, I have recently (just then haha) purchased on eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au for a DSLR kit. After going through www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au and www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au for the past days I finally decided on eglobal, it was like 30$ cheaper even DWI has free shipping.
Back to the story, after complaining to eglobal about the shipping, they chucked me a code and it instantly took 10$ off my order. So after all I saved an extra 10$. i know it's not that big of a deal, but it's still 10$ and i would like to share to you guys, if any of you guys wanted to go through eglobal.

I got this recently from VideoPro - very happy with their service (assigned a direct rep to deal with).
I definitely recommend buying the twin lens kit, as the 16mm (24mm equivalent) is supersmall and handy.
These cameras can use Nikon SLR and Leica Rangefinder lenses in manual when used with an adaptor (about $200 each), as well as the Sony Minolta lenses with autofocus with an adaptor.
It's so small and handy. Far more convenient than the D7000 for most circumstances.
It has the same sensor as the D7000, though lacks the degree of control available via D7000.
Some people prefer microfourthirds, and they currently have more native lenses, but low-light performance is not as strong, and Olympus's future is in doubt after the Yakuza scandal.
I was looking for dslr camera last week before boxing day and got nikon d7000 with lens kit 18-105mm for $1447 at jbhifi bourke street melbourne. They listed the price for 1797. The cheapest online for grey market for this product around $1300-ish. For $100 more i can get local warranty so why not :)
Also got lowepro fastpack 200 for $75 from officeworks where all other store sell it for $90 - $120

I paid $189 plus $40 DHL shipping. Making $229, and it arrived after 5 days.
What you get is a USA model, so no Australian warranty and the company seems to have a patchy record dealing with returns, though you can pay extra for a 3 year worldwide mack cover.
I used Paypal which gives you some protection for the first month or so.
The charger that comes with it is the CB-2LX with the USA flip out plug for which an adapter is supplied.
eBay does the Australian CB-2LXE chargers for around $15, if that is a problem for you.
I got the red one which is actually purple / pink so don't belive the photo!
Also included were a 2GB memory card and a lens brush.

Hi guys, was browsing through the DWI website, when I noticed they're offering free shipping + shipping insurance for all orders over $50! Not actually sure when it expires, so just put some arbitrary date of 31/12/11. Couple of things to consider though:

Just bought one today and it seems to be a good printer. The price is $264 but got it for $250. Bonus $50 gift card as well. If you want to try Officeworks' price match thing it will be a bit more cheaper but I couldn't be bother.

So… after making the soul searching decision to get my first dSLR camera last week (Nikon D5100+lens) it seems that the price has dropped around $100 and the postage is a lot more reasonable now at $29 for metro areas, typical…

I can't get my money back for buying my camera last week so I hope to cheer up knowing i helped other people.
Was looking for cheap DSLRs and stumbled upon these guys. Mind you I haven't ordered anything from them yet, but there's a wide range of lenses and cameras, at pretty cheap prices. For those cameras and lenses listed at Kogan (see previous post: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/55250), they're around the same price. (maybe cheaper with this coupon… shipping seems a bit expensive though)
