Nikon D3100 + 18-55mm VR $707- JB Hi-Fi

Hi all. First post. After trawling whirlpool and many hours researching I purchased a D3100 w/ 18-55 from JB-Hifi for $707 after negotiation (listed price is $777 which is still the best on the market). For a legit D3100, I believe this is the cheapest you can get.

I was very close to buying it from Citiwide (grey import) for ~$613 inc postage.

To me, the extra $90 or so was worth it for local stock for a couple of reasons:
- you get the camera straight away, no waiting for the postman
- local warranty, easy to chase up
- free extended warranty from credit card (1 year)
- can easily sell the camera when it's time to upgrade(imports usually trade at much less)

Overall, very happy with the camera as my first DSLR.
